Family escape injury in petrol bomb attack

A family have escaped injury after their home was attacked with petrol bombs in Londonderry last night.

Two devices were thrown at the family's home in the loyalist Fountain Estate at around 7.35pm.

It is believed the devices were thrown from the nearby Bishop Street area.

A number of other devices were also thrown at a nearby military base shortly afterwards.

No one was injured in this attack.

'Viable Pipe Bomb' Discovered In Dungiven Security Alert
The PSNI in County L'Derry have reported that a device discovered on Sunday 12 September was a "viable pipe bomb". A number of homes in Ard Na Smoll, Dungiven, were evacuated when the device was discovered at about 10:45 yesterday.

New Home Office Deportation Rules 'Inhumane'
Communities Minister Deirdre Hargey has said that she "will have no part in inhumane" new rules by the British Home Office targeting rough sleepers for deportation. The new measure allows the Home Office to deport homeless non-nationals on the grounds of rough sleeping, even if they have previously been granted permission to stay.

Petrol bomb attack on County Antrim home
Police are investigating a suspected arson attack on a house in County Antrim yesterday evening. Following a detailed forensic examination of the scene earlier today, police have confirmed that the remains of two petrol bombs were found. The devices have since been removed for further examination.

Family escape injury in petrol bomb attack
A family has escaped injury after a petrol bomb was thrown at their home in Co Antrim last night. At around 11.55pm, a petrol bomb struck the rear of the family home on Drumahoe Road, in the Millbrook area of Larne. The petrol bomb, which struck close to an upper bedroom window, ignited causing scorch damage.

Shots Fired At Family Home In Omagh
A woman and two children have been left shaken after a number of shots were fired at a house in Omagh. A family home in the Clonmore Gardens area was targeted at around 6pm on Wednesday evening, 18 December. Shots were fired through the kitchen and upstairs bedroom window of the house. The family inside at the time managed to escape injury.
