Investigation Launched Following 'Possible Child Approach' In Banbridge

Police have launched an investigation following a "possible child approach" in the Donaghcloney area in Banbridge on Tuesday, 16 August.

The incident happened on Main Street at around 9.20pm.

Three men in a white van approached a 10-year-old boy and offered him sweets.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "The boy did the right thing, remembered Stranger Danger, and went straight home to tell his mum.

"If you saw a white van in the area at that time, or were one of those men, please contact us. There may be a perfectly innocent explanation for this so it's important we get talking to you to find out and reassure the parents. Call us on 101 quoting incident 1355 of 16/08/16."

Arrests Made At Traffic Collision Following L'Derry Burglary
Police responding to a road traffic collision in L'Derry last night, Wednesday 20 March, arrested two men in connection with an earlier burglary in the area. At 23:55 last night, police received a report of a collision on Gortinure Road involving a black Audi TT. The vehicle was found abandoned in a ditch.
