Two Men Mugged In Co Antrim

Two men have been mugged in Carrickfergus, Co Antrim.

The incident happened in the Carnhill Place area at around 12.10am on Sunday, 21 August.

Two masked men, carrying suspected firearms, threatened the victims and forced them to hand over money from their wallets.

The suspects made off in the direction of Oakfield Drive.

The men were not injured, however they were left shaken.

Sinn Féin MLA Oliver McMullan said: "Reports that two men were mugged by armed and masked men in the Carnhill Place area of Carrickfergus are very disturbing.
