Former UUP man arrested in Electoral probe
It has been confirmed that the man arrested in connection to 30 counts of theft and false accounting at an Electoral Officer in Co Tyrone is a former chief executive of the Ulster Unionist Party.
Alastair Patterson was arrested by police following an investigation into irregularities at an Electoral Office in Omagh.
The 58-year-old Co Tyrone man was charged with 17 counts of theft and a further 13 counts relating to false accounting.
He will appear before a court in Omagh on November 11.

22-Year-Old Man Jailed For Rape At Laganside Crown Court
A 22-year-old man has been sentenced to six years for rape at Laganside Crown Court. Ahmad Alsbaihi was sentenced to six years. He will serve three years in custody and three years on licence. He will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register and will be subject to a Sexual Offences Prevention Order (SOPO) for 10 years.
