Mother And Daughter Tied Up During Aggravated Burglary In Co Tyrone
A woman has been attacked during an aggravated burglary in Co Tyrone.
The incident happened at a house on the Tattyreagh Road in Omagh on Wednesday evening, 11 January.
The mother and her eight-year-old daughter were also tied up by two masked men armed with a hammer.
The woman was hit in the face and had to receive medical treatment.
The men made off with a quantity of jewellery.
Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after a woman and four young children were held captive as their home was ransacked in an aggravated burglary in East Belfast on Saturday, 06 April. Police received a report that around 10.45pm, four masked men entered a house in the Greenwood Hill area of Castlereagh.

Police investigate ‘suspicious’ death in Strabane
Police in Strabane are investigating the suspicious death of a 43-year-old woman in the town. The body of the woman was discovered in a house in the Churchview area of Strabane, County Tyrone last night. It is understood a man is currently assisting police with their enquiries. The PSNI have issued an appeal for information after five masked me forced entry into the home of an man aged in his 70s, on the Saintfield Road. Police received a report shortly before 11.30pm on Saturday, 17th February that between 10pm and 10.30pm on the same evening, five masked men entered a house in the Saintfield Road area.
