PSNI Investigating Link Between Incidents Across Belfast

Police are investigating a link between a number of incidents which occurred across Belfast in the early hours of Friday, 17 February.

Three men have been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including burglary and aggravated burglary.

A number of men forced their way into a property in the Dunmurry area and threatened two women with a knife and a hammer. They demanded money, however they made off empty handed.

Just after 5am, a number of males forced their way into a house in the Ardoyne Road area and attacked a teenage boy. They made off in a blues Suziki alto, which belonged to the occupants and a red Hyundai Accent is also believed to have been involved.

At around 6.10am a red Hyundai Accent crashed into a police vehicle and made off in the direction of the Donegall Road.

Three men, aged 29, 30 and 31 were arrested a short time later in west Belfast.

The PSNI also recovered the Hyundai Accent.

Then men have been detained in police custody.
