Delivery Driver 'Badly Shaken' After Robbery In Carrickfergus

A delivery driver has been left badly shaken after being robbed in Carrickfergus.

Two men, one believed to be armed with a hand gun and the other with a long blade, approached the driver in the Fergus Court area just before 9.40pm on Sunday, 20 February.

One of the men pointed the gun at the victim and demanded money.

He is described as being just under 6ft tall and was wearing black gloves, a black jacket and a balaclava.

The second man was wearing a grey hooded top.

The back window of the van was smashed and the men stole a box which contained a sum of money. They made off in the direction of the Sunnylands area.

The driver was not physically hurt.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
