Man Injured During Aggravated Burglary In Belfast

A man has sustained injuries during an aggravated burglary in Belfast.

Three armed masked men entered a house in the Melrose Street area at around 12.30am on Wednesday, 22 February.

One man, armed with a hammer, and another man carrying a screwdriver confronted the victim before demanding money and ransacking several rooms in the property.

He sustained injuries to his face and back, however they are not believed to be life threatening.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police officers investigating a two-vehicle road traffic collision in west Belfast have issued an appeal for witnesses and dash-cam footage On 10 January officers received a report of a collision involving a car and motorcycle at approximately 5.30pm at the junction of Divis Street and Westlink on-slip, in the city-bound lanes.

Belfast International Airport Serves 5.9m Passengers In 2023
Latest figures show that 2023 was a successful year for Belfast International Airport as it served 5.9 million passengers. Annual traffic results published by VINCI Airports show that there were almost 50,000 total aircraft movements at Belfast International in 2023, which is an increase of 23 per cent on 2022 figures.

Planning has been approved for Newtownabbey's Factory of the Future sit at Global Point and the contract for pre-construction has been awarded for this key component of the Advanced Manufacturing Innovation Centre.
