Two Men Arrested In Connection With George Gilmore Murder

Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of George Gilmore in Carrickfergus.

Mr Gilmore died in hospital after he was shot in the neck during an incident in the Woodburn estate on Monday.

Police investigating the shooting detained two men, aged 28 and 35, in the greater Belfast area on Thursday night. The men are being held at Musgrave Serious Crime Suite.

Police said that their investigation was ongoing and renewed an appeal for information.

Two Men Arrested Over George Gilmore Murder Released
Two men have been arrested in connection with the murder of George Gilmore have been released unconditionally. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The two suspects were detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 29 March.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of George Gilmore
A 39-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The suspect was detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 12 April, and is being questioned at Musgrave police station.
