Mother's Day Indulgences
Obviously we all know that everyday is the perfect day to appreciate your mum, but let's be honest, this knowledge will not get you out of at the very least getting her a card this Sunday, 26 March.
But, doesn't your lovely mum deserve more than a card and some petrol station flowers? Well, we've got you covered with our list of recommendations.

If your mum loves the outdoors and a stunning landscape, the Fermanagh Lakelands are well worth exploring. Climb aboard the waterbuses and tour cruises to explore the twin lakes of Lough Erne, Upper and Lower. Take in breathtaking scenery and landscapes, or find out more interesting historical information such as Devenish Island, which is one of the most iconic sites in Northern Ireland. With more than 700km of rivers, lakes and canals, you'll discover there is a huge range of attractions to enjoy. You can also take a trip through Northern Ireland's largest lake Lough Neagh, with stopovers to include Coney Island and Rams Island. If you fancy something a bit more closer to shore, you can explore the historical Enniskillen Castle, or the 18th century mansion of Castle Coole, featuring landscaped gardens which are perfect for a leisurely walk. If you still have the time, check out the Marble Arch Caves, a "fascinating natural underworld of rivers, waterfalls, winding passages and lofty chambers, with stunningly beautiful cave formations glistening all around..." fermanaghlakelands.com
Sticking with the outdoors theme, the spectacular beauty that is the Mourne Mountains make it a suitable replacement for the traditional flowers and dinner on Mother's Day. If you're a CS Lewis fan, you'll have probably guessed that this trail brings to life the story of Narnia. When speaking of his source for inspiration, the writer said: "That part of Rostrevor which overlooks Carlingford Lough is my idea of Narnia." Legends of this magical land are interpreted along this short loop trail, entered through a Wardrobe and leading visitors to several interpretative stations with themes including, The Tree People, The Beavers' House, The Citadels and many more. For those who enjoy more of a challenge, another trail has been created for the legendary Cloughmore Stone, linking another important legend – that of the Giant Fionn McCumhaill - to the Narnia theme.
