Security Alert In North Belfast Ends

A security alert in north Belfast has ended after "nothing untoward" was found.

A suspicious object was discovered in the Pacific Avenue area on Thursday, 13 April.

Police and army bomb disposal experts attended the scene.

The road has been reopened and residents have returned to their homes.

Security Alert In West Belfast Ends
A security alert in west Belfast involving an abandoned stolen car has ended, police have said. A section of the Falls Road in the west of the city had been closed from around 5.30pm on Thursday in relation to the alert. Police have said a "suspicious vehicle" was being checked, but "nothing untoward" was found.

Residents have returned to their homes following a security alert in north Belfast. A suspicious object was discovered at the junction of North Queen Street and Brougham Street on Tuesday, however it was found to be 'nothing untoward'. Army bomb experts examined the object on Tuesday evening.

A security alert in west Belfast has ended. Police have described the device, which was discovered in the Grosvenor Road area of the city as “viable.” A number of items have since been taken from the scene for forensic examination.

Security Alert In West Belfast Ends
Police in West Belfast received a report of a suspicious object in the Suffolk Road area at approximately 11.50 pm on Sunday, 9 November. Officers immediately attended the scene, initiating a public safety operation that required the closure of the Suffolk Road and surrounding routes.

Security Alert Ends In South Belfast
A security alert that prompted the evacuation of homes in the Empire Street area of South Belfast on Wednesday has ended. Army Technical Officers (ATO) were called to the scene and made safe a suspicious object, believed to be an improvised grenade. The object has since been removed, and residents have been allowed to return to their homes.
