Invest NI Announce Free Strategic Design Workshop
Invest NI has announced a new free, half-day workshop on Strategic Design on Wednesday 21 June.
In this workshop, Professor Peter Kelly, an internationally recognised expert in business high growth and entrepreneurship, will:
• challenge perceived ideas about developing a business opportunity
• provide practical guidance on how to test, validate and prototype your ideas in preparation for potential commercialisation
Transforming a good idea into a valuable commercial business offering is a design process. At its core is opportunity prototyping.
Opportunity prototyping uses 'design thinking' and:
• identifies how to create a compelling solution to a customer's problem
• improves your ability to explore different possibilities (creativity)
• clarifies the way forward (innovation)
Through a combination of practical exercises and case studies, this workshop will deliver an overview on how successful companies and entrepreneurs operate, and give you first-hand experience in the process of designing and prototyping a commercial offering.
The event is due to be held at Malone House in Belfast.
