Woman 'Badly Shaken' After Armed Robbery In Newry

A woman has been left badly shaken following a robbery at her home in Newry.

Two male youths, one armed with a knife, entered the house in Maryvale Road area at around 8pm on Saturday, 29 July.

They demanded money and ransacked the house.

The youths were describe as around 17-years old and spoke with a local accent.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "One was described as being around 5’5” tall, of medium build and wore a dark grey hooded top and black track bottoms. The second was over 6’ tall, of thin build and also wore a grey hooded top with black track bottoms."

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Armed With Samurai Sword Robs Off-Licence
Police are appealing for information after a man wielding a samurai sword robbed a business in east Belfast. An off-licence in the Woodstock Road area was targeted at around 8.45pm on Sunday evening, 15 September, by a man armed with the 2' long sword. The suspect demanded cash and ran off with a sum of money in the direction of the Cregagh Road.

Armagh House Attacked In Racist Hate Crime
The home of a Syrian family living in Armagh has been attacked for the second time in as many days in what police are treating as a racially motivated hate crime. Windows were smashed at the property in Alexander Avenue at around 1.40am on Monday morning, 12 August. Just over a day earlier, graffiti was spray painted over the house.

Police are appealing for information after shots were fired at a house in County Tyrone early this morning, Monday 01 July. A house in Loughview Gardens, Coalisland, was targeted just after 4am. Six people in the house at the time were uninjured.

Shots Fired At House In Banbridge
A police investigation is underway after shots were reportedly fired through the front door of a house in Banbridge, County Down. The incident happened at about 3.35am, in the early hours of Wednesday 02 January in Granville Gardens. A woman and two men were inside the house at the time and managed to escape injury.
