Police Appeal After Serious Assault In L'Derry

Police are appealing for information after a young man was seriously assaulted in L'Derry.

The incident occurred at around 2.15am at the junction of Chamberlain Street and William Street on Sunday, 30 July.

The victim was knocked unconscious by an unknown suspect and sustained serious injuries.

PSNI Foyle said: "If you were in the area at the time and witnessed this or know who our suspect is please get in touch by ringing 101 and quoting reference number 235 of 30/07/17. Alternatively you can ring Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."

Police Issue Fresh Appeal For Witnesses To Banbridge Shooting
A man shot in the abdomen in a Banbridge car park on Friday, 12 April, remains in a critical condition in hospital. The man, aged in his 40s, was shot as he sat in a car by a masked man. Detectives investigating a shooting in the Rathfriland Road area returned to the scene on the evening of Friday, 19 April.
