Man questioned over police fund security leak
A man is helping police with their enquiries after an alleged breach of security at an organisation set up to help police officers injured in Northern Ireland's 'Troubles'.
It is believed that the man is being questioned over fears that personal details of serving and retired police officers have been leaked to republican terrorists from the Northern Ireland Police Fund.
The man was arrested on Thursday alongside another man under the Terrorism Act. However the second man was later released pending further inquiries.
The Police Fund, which was set up in April 2002 as part of the Patten recommendations on police reform, is funded largely by the government to help injured police officers, retired officers, and their widows and families.

The decision by the UK Government follows strong representations by the Executive Ministers to ensure that those affected here are treated on the same basis as their counterparts elsewhere.
