Officers Injured After Stolen Car Rams Into Patrol Vehicle

Two police officers have been injured after their patrol car was rammed by a stolen vehicle in Co Down.

The blue-coloured Toyota had been stolen from a house in Kilkeel and it collided with a police car which was patrolling the area in the early hours of Tuesday, 22 August.

The vehicle was found burnt out in Newcastle.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Police believed the attack involved up to five people on the morning of Tuesday, 27 February. Two Teens Charged After Reversing Stolen Car Into Police Vehicle
Two teenagers have been charged after a stolen car they were driving reversed into a police car. The car, which is believed to have been taken from the Kent Street area of Belfast, was seen being driven erratically on the Whitecliff Parade on Tuesday evening. The vehicle was spotted around an hour later by police on the Falls Road.

Stolen Car Crashes With Police Vehicle In South Belfast
Police are appealing for witnesses after a stolen car and a police vehicle crashed in south Belfast. The silver Mini, which was taken during a burglary at Fitzroy Avenue in the early hours of Thursday morning, collided with a police vehicle at the junction of Fitzroy Avenue and Carmel Street. No-one was injured in the incident.

Man Arrested Under Terrorism Act
A man has been arrested under the Terrorism Act in Co Tyrone. The 34-year-old was detained in the Coalisland area on Tuesday, 19 June. He is currently in custody at Musgrave police station. The arrest is in relation to a weapons and ammunition find at a garage in the Mountjoy Road in 2011.

Six police officers have been injured following a creeper burglary in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim. A stolen car rammed into three police vehicles during a pursuit. Four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and two of them are also suspected of motoring offences.

Man Arrested After Car Stolen In Co Down
A 25-year-old man has been arrested after a car was stolen in Templepatrick, Co Down. The Audi A4 vehicle was reported stolen from the Tindall Cottages area at around 10.40pm on Monday. Following a short police pursuit, the vehicle was abandoned in St Agnes Drive in west Belfast and the man was arrested.

Stolen Car Crashes Into PSNI Vehicle
Police have said a stolen car has crashed into a PSNI vehicle in west Belfast. The incident followed a report to police that an Audi A4 had been stolen and was being driven erratically in the Albert Street area, off Divis Street, at about 22:00 on Thursday evening.

Security guard has car stolen at gunpoint
A security guard has been threatened at gunpoint in west Belfast by a man who stole her car. The guard was at a building site on Blacks Road at about 8.30pm on Wednesday when a man grabbed her by the throat and held a gun to her head. The assailant then made off in the vehicle with two other men which was later spotted by police and a chase ensued.

Car stolen in Co Down robbery
Police are appealing for information after a car was stolen from a house in Co Down early this morning. The incident occurred at a home in Creive Court, Newry in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The keys of a Volkswagen Passat and the car itself were stolen during the robbery. The vehicle is described as silver in colour, registration CJZ 5035.

Armed Robber Dresses As Police Officer
Police are searching for two men in connection with the attempted armed robbery of a shop in Co Armagh. Police said that one of the men who attempted to rob the shop on West Street, Portadown, was dressed as a policeman. It is understood two men entered the shop at about 10am on Thursday, one of them was carrying a suspected firearm.

Two men have been arrested after a stolen car crashed into two other vehicles in the Newtownabbey area on Tuesday morning. A silver Renault Clio was reported stolen from a house in east Belfast. Police spotted the vehicle in the Doagh Road area just before 8.45am and a police chase occurred.

Two Die In Road Accidents
Two men have died in separate road accidents. On Sunday, a man was killed when his car collided with another vehicle on Banbridge Road, Dromore, at around 6pm. A 42-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has been released on police bail. In a separate incident, a man, understood to be in his 40s, has died in Co Armagh.
