Officers Injured After Stolen Vehicle Rams Police Car

Two police officers have been injured after a stolen camper van was deliberately driven into a police vehicle.

According to reports, the van had been stolen from a house that been ransacked on the Portadown Road in Tandragee at around 17:30 on Wednesday 20 April.

The exact cause of the incident have not been released, but it is understood that a short time later, the stolen camper van deliberately rammed a police car, injuring the two officers inside and causing significant damage to the vehicle. It is understood that the van then sped away from the scene of the collision "before it was abandoned a short distance away, with two males exiting and making off across fields".

According to reports, a 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police have issued an appeal for information from anyone who may have witnessed the incident, in particular anyone with dashcam footage, to contact them.

Six Police Officers Injured After Stolen Car Rams Three Vehicles
Six police officers have been injured following a creeper burglary in Newtownabbey, Co Antrim. A stolen car rammed into three police vehicles during a pursuit. Four teenagers have been arrested on suspicion of attempted burglary and two of them are also suspected of motoring offences.
