World Cup 2018: Northern Ireland Defeated By Germany

Northern Ireland have been defeated by Germany at Windsor Park.

The current world champions beat Northern Ireland 3-1 in Belfast.

Sebastian Rudy scored the first goal in the second minute.

Josh Magennis headed Northern Ireland's goal in stoppage time.

However, Northern Ireland remain well placed to make November's play-offs.

In the Euro 2016 finals, Germany won 1-0 against Northern Ireland in Paris.

Man Extradited From Germany To Northern Ireland
A 29-year-old man has been returned to Northern Ireland from Germany to face trial over offences linked to a 2018 incident in Portrush. He was extradited on Thursday, 9 April 2026. He is wanted to stand trial in Northern Ireland for one offence of robbery and one offence of possession of an offensive weapon.
