A man has died in a quad bike accident in Co Tyrone.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was killed at the scene in the Plumbridge area just before 5pm on Thursday, 02 November.

Rapid response paramedics and an air ambulance attended the scene.

Sinn Féin MLA Declan McAleer said the community is in "shock".

He said: "I have spoken to local people and there is a palpable sense of shock.

"Plumbridge and the Glenelly Valley are close knit communities where everyone knows each other through farming, work and community activities.
