Appeal Issued After Man Seen Kicking A Dog In Coleraine

Police are appealing for information after a man was seen kicking a dog in Coleraine.

The incident happened on Monday, 06 November, in the Ballycastle Road area at around 3pm.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "Police are investigating a report of animal cruelty that occurred today on the Ballycastle Road, Coleraine at approximately 3pm. Police are seeking information on a male in a yellow jacket who was seen kicking a dog close to the crescent.

"If you have any information please contact Police by calling 101 quoting reference 882 of the 6/11/2017. Alternatively you contact crimestoppers on 0800 551 111."

PSNI Officer Disciplined After Kicking Man During Incident In Belfast
A police officer has been disciplined over using "excessive force" when he kicked a man during an incident in Belfast in July 2015. The officer was with three colleagues when they called at the man's flat at 5am to arrest him for failing to turn up for a court hearing.

Victim of savage beating 'seriously ill'
A man is "seriously ill" in hospital after he was savagely beaten in Larne last night. The victim, a 29-year-old Catholic, was walking home toward the entrance of the Gardenmore House flats at around midnight when he was approached by two men. The pair attacked the man, forcing him to the ground before kicking him several times in the head.
