Man Arrested Over Murder Of Brian McIlhagga

A 30-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Brian McIlhagga.

A gang of masked men dragged the 42-year-old victim from a house in the Riverview Park area in Ballymoney on 05 January 2015.

He was beaten and shot in a paramilitary-style attack.

The suspect was arrested in the Portrush area on Wednesday, 15 November, and is being questioned at Musgrave Police Station.

Massive Drugs Find After Disqualified Driver Stopped By Police
A large quantity of drugs has been seized by police in Lisburn after they stopped a disqualified driver on New Year's Eve. The discovery was made on Monday 31 December, the same day that officers in the city arrested two people after a gun and suspected Class A drugs were found during three searches in the area.

Five to appear in court in connecton with Bangor robbery
Five youths are to appear in Downpatrick Magistrates Court today charged in connection with the robbery of an off-licence in Bangor on Tuesday night. Two youths, who entered the premises on the Rathgael Road, assaulted two female members of staff before making off with a sum of money and alcohol.

A 40-year-old man has been jailed for committing child sex offences at Laganside Crown Court. Alan McBride was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment, half to be spent in custody and half on licence, on Tuesday 16 April.

Man Dies In Strangford Crash
A man in his 60s has died following a crash in Strangford, County Down. The three vehicle collision involved two cars and a motorcycle and happened on the Castleward Road shortly after 11.30am yesterday morning, Sunday 07 April. The route was closed in both directions for some time but has since reopened.
