Innovate UK Announce Mission To Singapore
Innovative businesses operating in the Advanced Urban Services sector are invited to apply for a place on an Innovate UK hosted mission to Singapore from 29 January to 02 February.
The Advanced Urban Services is a wide sector comprising areas such as:
• infrastructure – energy systems, waste and water management, security and safety, built environment
• smart mobility – transport, traffic management, logistics, and road safety
• governance – urban planning, citizen engagement
• health in urban areas – assisted living, telehealth, air quality, healthy lifestyle
• sustainability – carbon abatement, circular economy, air quality.
The aim of the mission is to help participants develop their innovations through in-market partnerships, collaborations and knowledge exchange with businesses and research organisations based in Singapore.
Successful applicants will get a chance to learn about market opportunities and business culture in Singapore and meet prospective partners and key government agencies. They may also get an opportunity to apply afterward for Innovate UK grants to foster collaborations with a partner from Singapore.
How to apply?
Innovate UK is now taking applications from businesses interested in joining the mission. You can register your interest online. On registering, you will receive an application form which you will need to submit no later than 5pm on 5 December 2017.
The mission will take place from 29 January to 2 February 2018. Innovate UK will organise and fund flights, hotels, and in-country logistics for all participating companies. A participation fee of £299 from each company will be required.

Enterprise Minister Arlene Foster has announced that Edge Innovate (NI) has won business worth around £2m in South Africa.
