Pedestrian Hit By Lorry In Belfast City Centre

Police are appealing for information after a woman was struck by a lorry in Belfast city centre.

The incident happened in the Wellwood Street area at around 8am on Tuesday, 21 November.

The pedestrian has been taken to hospital and the area remains sealed off.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "We are appealing to anyone who was in the area this morning and witnessed this incident to contact police on the non-emergency number 101, quoting reference 198 of 21/11/17."

Stolen Car Rams Shop In Belfast
Police are appealing for information after a stolen car rammed into the shutters of a shop in the Wellington Place area of Belfast in the early hours of Sunday morning. A white Volkswagen Passat, which had earlier been stolen from the Bangor area, drove into the shutter of the shop at approximately 3.30am.

Police are appealing for information following an arson attack at a school in the Glen Road area of Belfast on Monday. Detective Sergeant Melanie McGrory said: "At approximately 9.45pm Police received a report that three portacabins had been entered and set on fire. As a result of the fire the portacabins were completely destroyed.

Pedestrian Dies After Being Hit By Car In L'Derry
A man has died after being hit by a car in L'Derry. The pedestrian, in his 20s, was walking on the Tirkeeran Road in Garvagh when he was knocked down by a Volkswagen van at around 7.40am on Thursday. Police are appealing for witnesses to contact them and motorists are being advised to avoid the area. No other information has been released.

Young Girl Approached In L'Derry
Police are appealing for information after a young girl was approached by men in a van in L'Derry. The incident happened in the Creggan area at around 4.15pm on Wednesday. The nine-year-old girl was walking in the Creggan area when a white van pulled up beside her. One of the three men asked her to get in, however the girl refused and ran home.

Thieves steal substantial amount of cigarettes
Police in Bangor are appealing for information after a delivery van was robbed in Bangor. The incident occurred at around 11.45am today when the robbers approached the driver at a grocery store in the Rathmore Road area. He was pushed into the back of the van and they made off with a substantial amount of cigarettes.

Six Arrested In Dissident Investigation
Six people have been arrested by detectives investigating dissident republican activity. The arrests were made on Tuesday in the Dunmurry and west Belfast area following a number of searches. Police said five men, aged between 31 and 58, and a 32-year-old woman had been arrested.

'Viable device' found in Coleraine
Army Technical Officers have carried out a controlled explosion after a “viable device” was found in County Londonderry in the early hours of this morning. 17-Year-Old Shot In Both Legs
A 17-year-old boy has been shot in both legs in Ballymagroarty in L'Derry. Police said the youth was attacked at about 23:15 on Monday night at a green area behind flats in O'Riada Court. The teenager is being treated in hospital but his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. An investigation is underway.

Man Bailed Over L'Derry Murder
A 48-year-old man who was arrested in relation to a murder in L'Derry four years ago, has been released on bail. On Monday (22 July), the man was arrested by detectives from the Serious Crime Branch as part of an investigations into the murder of James McConnell in 2009.
