Police Investigate Shooting In Limavady
Police are appealing for information following a report of a shot being fired at a house in the Josephine Avenue area of Limavady. The incident occurred in the early hours of today, Monday, 22 September.
At around 2.50am, a female resident, who was asleep upstairs, reported hearing a loud bang. A second person was in a neighbouring bedroom at the time. It is believed a shot was fired into the living room, causing damage to a window. No one was injured in the incident. A police spokesperson has appealed to anyone who was in the area at the time and noticed anything suspicious to get in touch. They are also asking for any dash-cam or doorbell footage that could assist with their investigation.

Fourth Person Dies Following Maguiresbridge Shooting

Ian Rutledge, aged 43, passed away on Monday, 28 July, after being hospitalised in a serious condition since the incident.

An attempted murder investigation has been launched after shotgun pellets were fired into a house in Ballygowan on Saturday evening, 22 June. Police received a report that at around 11pm, a number of shotgun pellets were fired through the window of a house in the Brae Grove area, striking a woman in the head and her back.

Two police officers have been disciplined after they failed to let their colleagues and a police doctor know that a woman had sustained a head injury, a Police Ombudsman investigation has concluded. The woman died from bleeding to the brain on 24 February 2014, the day after she suffered the injury.

Detectives are appealing for information following an armed robbery in Antrim on Tuesday, 14 October. The incident occurred at approximately 8.30pm as a woman in her 40s was walking along the Greystone path in the Rathmore Gardens area. Detective Sergeant Ash confirmed the woman was approached from behind by an unknown man carrying a bladed object.
