Woman Dies After Being Hit By Lorry In Belfast

A woman has died after being struck by a lorry in Belfast city centre.

The incident happened in the Wellwood Street area at around 8am on Tuesday, 21 November.

PSNI Inspector David Gibson said: "I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at approximately 8am this morning, Tuesday, 21 November and may have witnessed this incident to contact police.

"I would also appeal to any motorist who has a dashcam in their vehicle that may have recorded this collision to also contact police.

"We can be contacted on the non-emergency number 101, please quote reference 198 21/11/17."

Elsewhere, a pensioner has died after being hit by a car in Annahilt.

The collision happened on the Glebe Road at around 8.45pm on Tuesday, 21 November.

Police spoke to the driver of the vehicle at the scene.

The PSNI are also appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
