Quantity Of Weapons Found During Search In North Belfast

Police have found a quantity of weapons during a search in north Belfast.

Detectives from the Paramilitary Crime Task Force carried out the search in the Antrim Road area on Monday, 04 December.

An assault rifle, ammunition and other weapons were recovered.

The items have been sent for forensic examination.

No further details have been released.

Cigarettes, Tobacco And Cash Seized
Police and customs officers have seized more than 13,000 cigarettes and five kilos of hand-rolling tobacco. The seizures were made during the course of a major search operation of 11 properties in north and west Belfast. Officers also seized £6,000 in cash under the proceeds of the crime act.

Woman Arrested Over False Reports Of Baby Falling From A Ferry
A 37-year-old woman has been arrested for wasting police time after false reports a baby had fallen into the Belfast Lough. A major search operation was carried out, however it was called off in Thursday afternoon. Police said they no longer believed a baby had fallen into the water.

Detectives Investigate Burglary In North Belfast
PSNI detectives have issued an appeal for information following a report of a burglary at residential premises in the Wilton Street area of north Belfast. Between 7.30am and around 6.25 pm yesterday, 29 January, it was reported that entry was gained to a property in the area.
