Man Arrested Following Security Alert In L'Derry

A man has been arrested following a security alert in Co L'Derry.

A number of residents were evacuated from their homes in the Ederowen Park area on Wednesday night, 13 December.

Police attended the scene and a suspicious object was found as well as a number of other items which have been taken away for further examination.

The 39-year-old suspect is assisting police with their enquiries.

The investigation is ongoing.

Two men and a woman have been arrested in connection with an attempted burglary in east Belfast on Monday, 11 March. PSNI officers responded to a report of an attempted break in and criminal damage at a property in the Upper Newtownards Road area.

Man Arrested Over Murder Of George Gilmore
A 39-year-old man has been arrested by police investigating the murder of George Gilmore. Mr Gilmore, aged 44, was shot in the neck in Carrickfergus on Monday, 13 March. He died from his injuries in hospital the following day, 14 March. The suspect was detained in Co Antrim on Wednesday, 12 April, and is being questioned at Musgrave police station.

Shots Fired At House In Belfast
A man and woman have escaped injury after shots were fired at a house in south Belfast. They were inside the property in Powerscourt Place when the attack was carried out at approximately 10.25pm on Wednesday 31 October. Two shots were fired and two windows were damaged.
