Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Arson Released On Bail

A man arrested on suspicion of arson in Finaghy has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

Two people were rescued from a blaze at a house in the area on Sunday, 07 January.

The fire was reported at around 2.30am and emergency services attended the scene.

A 32-year-old man and a woman in her 60s were rescued from the property.

They were treated for smoke inhalation in hospital.

Man Released Over Murder Of Basil McAfee
A man has been released on bail over the murder of Basil McAfee in north Belfast in December 2013. Mr McAfee, who was attacked with an axe and a knife, was found at his home on Henderson Avenue on 20 December. Four people have been arrested in connection with the murder so far. The 39-year-old has been released on bail pending further enquiries.

A 25-year-old man who was arrested on Monday afternoon on suspicion of attempted murder has been released. The man has been freed on bail pending further police enquiries. The man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder following an incident on the Limestone Road in north Belfast on Friday night.

Man Released On Bail After Student Dies In Road Incident
A man, 29, has been released on police bail after a student was killed in a collision in south Belfast last week. Enda Dolan, from Killyclogher in Omagh, was struck by a van on the Malone Road on Wednesday 15th October. A 29-year-old, arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, has been freed pending further inquiries.
