Man Arrested After Van Crashes Into House In Co Down

A man, aged 27, has been arrested on suspicion of a number of offences including dangerous driving after a van crashed into a house in Co Down on Sunday, 28 January.

The crash happened on the Clare Road in Waringstown.

A pensioner sustained minor cuts to her head and arm and was also treated for shock.

A Citreon Berlingo van crashed into an external wall of the property at around 9pm.

The suspect has also been arrested on suspicion of driving with excess alcohol on his breath and failing to remain at the scene.

He is to appear in court in Armagh on 20 February.

Police Investigating Man's Death Following Ballynahinch Collision
The PSNI have launched an investigation into the circumstances leading to the death of an elderly man following a collision in Ballynahinch. It it understood that police were called at approximately 4.10pm on Monday 08 April, to reports of the "sudden death"of an elderly man at a quarry in the Newcastle Road area of Seaforde.

Appeal For Information On Serious Assault In Rostrevor
A 24-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a serious assault in Rostrevor on Sunday, 31 March. At around 9pm, police received a report that man, aged in his 20s, had received serious head injuries after he fell to the ground following an altercation at a licensed premises in the Bridge Street area.
