19-Year-Old Arrested Over Pedestrian Death
Police have arrested two men in connection with the death of a pedestrian in Belfast.
It follows an incident on the Malone Road in south Belfast at about 02:00 on Wednesday morning in which an 18-year-old man died.
He was involved in a collision with a white coloured Renault van close to Elm Village.
Two men in the van have been taken to hospital for treatment to injuries, which police described as not life-threatening.
Chief Inspector Robert Murdie said that a 19-year-old has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and driving whilst unfit through drink or drugs. A 29-year-old man has been also arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
The men remain in custody helping police with their enquiries.
Police have appealed for anyone with information to contact investigating officers.

Two Men Arrested On Suspicion Of Kidnapping
Police have arrested two men on suspicion of kidnapping. The males, aged 33 and 31, were detained in Co L'Derry. It is believed there arrests are in connection with an incident in the city on Thursday, 26 October. No further details have been released.

Man Arrested After Using Van To Attack Police Officers
The PSNI has condemned an incident in which a man used a van to repeatedly ram a police patrol car and attempted to run over an officer in Newry on Saturday, 03 February. Shortly after 11:20pm, officers on patrol approached a man standing beside a white Peugeot van in the Castlekeele Estate area.

Man Arrested For Headbutting Female Police Officer
A 22-year-old man has been arrested in Newry for assaulting a police officer. While responding to a domestic related report, a local female officer was headbutted to the head, which caused swelling and bruising. The officer was seen by medical staff and her injuries were not more serious and she felt well enough to remain on duty.
