Man Arrested Over Violent Dissident Republican Activity

A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with violent dissident republican activity.

The suspect has been detained under the Terrorism Act.

He was arrested in west Belfast on Monday, 05 March, and has been taken to the serious crime suite at Musgrave Police station to be questioned,

Man Dies In Roadside Incident
A man in his 40s has died following an incident on the Belfast Road, near Nutts Corner in County Antrim. The deceased, named locally as Terry Telford, passed away on Saturday morning, 06 June. It is believed he was working on a lorry by the roadside when the incident occurred. The road was closed for several hours but has since reopened.

Man & Woman Facing Terrorism Charges
Two people have been charged with terrorism offences following the search of an address in Ballymena, County Antrim on Friday 05 July. The 31-year-old woman and 33-year-old man face charges which include possession of explosive substances and possession of ammunition.

Man Dies After 'One-Punch' Incident
A young man has died following what police said was a "one-punch assault" on a beach in County Down last week. 22-year-old Darren O'Neill was left in critical condition after the incident on Tyrella beach on Thursday evening, 27 June. Police confirmed on Sunday that he had later passed away.

'One Punch' Beach Assault Leaves Man Critical
A 22-year-old man has been left critically ill in hospital after what police have described as a "one punch" assault. The incident took place on Tyrella beach in Downpatrick, County Down at around 7.30pm last night, Thursday 27 June. A 21-year-old man was arrested after the assault and is currently in police custody assisting with enquiries.
