Man Arrested In Connection With Dissident Republican Activity

The PSNI have arrested a man in connection with dissident republican activity in L'Derry.

The 21-year-old is currently being questioned in custody.

He was detained in the Creggan area under the Terrorism Act.

The man arrested was connected to dissident activity, including a paramilitary-style assault in the city on 07 June.

A 41-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of dissident republican activity in Lurgan, County Armagh. He was taken to Antrim Police Station on Monday for questioning. Meanwhile, a 47-year-old-man has been released after being arrested in Lurgan on Saturday also of dissident republican activity.

Man Arrested In Connection With Dissident Republican Terrorist Activity
A man has been arrested in England as part of a police investigation into dissident republican terrorist activity. The man, 50, and originally from Lurgan, was detained in Lancashire on Tuesday morning. The PSNI said the arrest is in connection with terrorist activity a number of years ago.
