Man Charged Over Arson Attack In Belfast

A 36-year-old man has been charged in connection with an arson attack at a shop in Belfast.

The incident happened at premises in the Donegall Street area on Friday, 23 February.

No-one was injured, however some people in the shop were left badly shaken.

The suspect has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life and is due in court on Tuesday, 06 March.

He has also been charged with possession of a Class A drug.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested following an incident in which three police officers were assaulted in the early hours of this morning, Friday 13 December. The incident occurred around 12:20 AM on Dublin Road. When officers attempted to speak to the driver of a suspicious vehicle, he assaulted them and drove off a short distance.

Detectives investigating a blaze that damaged a row of businesses in west Belfast earlier this month have charged two individuals. The 32 year-old man and 27 year-old woman were detained on suspicion of arson in Lisburn yesterday morning, Thursday 14 November. Both have been charged with arson.

Two men have been charged in connection with an arson attack at a flat in east Belfast. The attack occurred at a top floor flat in the Mount area in the early hours of Saturday morning. A 32-year-old man has been charged with arson with intent to endanger life and two counts of burglary.
