Two Men Charged Over Arson Attacks On 5G Masts In Belfast

Detectives have charged two men as part of an ongoing investigation into arson attacks on 5G masts in Belfast. A 45-year-old is accused of eight counts of arson and a charge of conspiracy to commit arson, while a 46-year-old faces charges of arson and conspiracy to commit arson.

Both men were arrested on Monday, 27 April, and are due to appear at Laganside Magistrates' Court on Monday, 25 May.

As is standard practice, the Public Prosecution Service will review all charges.

A woman, her 10-year-old son and their pet dog were rescued at around 4.30am on Saturday morning after a flammable substance was poured through the letterbox of the house at Harty Court in Ballymagroarty and set alight.
