Man Arrested In Connection With Raymond Johnston

A man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Raymond Johnston.

Mr Johnston, aged 28, was shot in front of his partner and child at his house in the Glenbawn Avenue area of Poleglass on 13 February.

A 37-year-old man has also been detained by the PSNI under the Terrorism Act.

A number of items were seized in relation to the murder during searches in west Belfast and Lisburn on Wednesday, 07 March.

Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Investigations are ongoing.

A second man has been arrested in connection to the murder of a leading loyalist in Co Down last week. He was detained yesterday afternoon following the release of the first man arrested in connection to the murder of 45-year-old Jim Johnston on Thursday night.

Appeal Over Missing Broughshane Man
Police have appealed to the public for help in tracing the whereabouts of a man from Broughshane, Ballymena, County Antrim. Geoffrey Adams, who is 53 years old, was last seen at Antrim Area Hospital on the afternoon of Sunday 8 February. Police have described him as 5' 9", very thin, bald with a grey beard, crooked teeth and a crooked nose.
