Man Charged With Four Counts Of Attempted Murder

A man has been charged with four counts of attempted murder and a number of other offences.

Three men and a woman were attacked at a house in the Queens Park area of Saintfield at around 3.40am on Sunday, 11 March.

The woman sustained serious injuries and is receiving hospital treatment.

A 46-year-old man has been charged with with four counts of attempted murder, possessing an article with blade or point in a public place, possession of an offence weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence, theft, two counts of criminal damage and no driving licence.

He is due to appear before Newtownards Magistrates Court today, 13 March.

A man has appeared in court charged with two counts of attempted murder after two women were hit by a car in north Belfast on Monday. A 16-year-old girl was injured after being trapped under the car on the Crumlin Road, however she is in a stable condition in hospital.

Man And Woman Jailed For 'Brutal And Senseless Attack'
The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of two people at Laganside Crown Court for a range of offences including grievous bodily harm with intent, threats to kill, common assault and possession of an offensive weapon. 26-year-old Dylan Black, from the Lisburn area, was sentenced to seven years in prison. He will serve three years on license.
