Two Arrested After Fatal Collision On Newry To Belfast Road

Two people have been arrested in connection with a fatal road traffic collision on the main Newry to Belfast road.

A man, aged in his 20s, was killed when his car was involved in a collision with another vehicle on the A1 between Banbridge and Dromore at about 11:30pm on Wednesday, 23 May.

The driver of the second car involved in the crash, a 32-year-old man, and the driver of a third vehicle, a 30-year-old woman, were both arrested at the scene on suspicion of a number of driving offences.

The road was closed for a number of hours overnight to allow for a forensic examination, but has since reopened.

Man Dies In Co Fermanagh Road Crash
A man has died in a road crash in Co Fermanagh. The one-vehicle collision happened on the Tattymacall Road in Lisbellaw at approximately 5.10pm on Monday, 05 September. The road has been re-opened. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Killed In Co Antrim Road Collision Named
A man who died in a road collision in Co Antrim has been named as Kamil Gervenka. The crash occurred on the Portglenone Road in Randalstown at around 12.15am on Sunday, 23 October. It is believed he was originally from Slovakia and worked in the area. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
