Fatal M2 Crash: Car May Have Been Travelling Wrong Way

Police investigating a fatal crash on the M2 motorway believe a silver car may have been travelling in the wrong direction.

A man died in the collision which happened just before 4pm on Sunday, 22 July.

The PSNI have received reports that the car was going the wrong way on the M2.

Inspector Andrew Wilson said: “I would appeal to anyone who has dash-cam footage of this vehicle, or information relating to this incident, to contact the Collision Investigation Unit at Sprucefield on 101.

“I also wish to express my thanks to the members of the public who have already come forward and provided us with dash-cam footage and witness accounts leading up to this road traffic collision.”

Police Investigate Fatal Collision Near Ballymena
An investigation has launched following a fatal collision near Ballymoney. According to reports, a man aged in his 70s and a woman aged in her 40s were killed when a car and a construction vehicle collided on the Benvardin Road at about 4pm on Monday 16 November. It is understood that the two victims were the driver and a rear passenger in the car.

One Person Hospitalised Following Three-Vehicle Collision In Ballee
Ballymena police are appealing for information following a three-vehicle collision on Lisnevenagh Road in the Ballee area on Thursday, 16 January. The incident occurred shortly before 8:55 pm. Emergency services attended the scene, and one woman was taken to hospital for treatment of injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.

Man Dies In Three Car Collision In Dundrum
Police have issued an appeal for information following a fatal collision in Dundrum, Co Down. A 49-year-old man died at the scene of a three-car collision on the Belfast Road at about 12:20am on Thursday. It is understood that four other people are being treated in hospital following the collision.

MAN KILLED IN SPRUCEFIELD ROAD TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
ONE man has died and two people have been seriously hurt in a head-on collision involving two cars on the M1 in County Antrim. It is understood the crash, which took place on Sunday July 15 at around 5.30pm, was caused by a grey Daihatsu Charade travelling the wrong way along the country-bound carriageway near Sprucefield, outside Lisburn.

The PSNI have issued an appeal for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision on the M2 motorway outside Belfast on Sunday, 22 July. A man has died following the five-vehicle collision, which occurred on the M2 near Duncrue just before 4pm yesterday.
