Attracting Investment Workshop Announced

Connect at Catalyst Inc have announced a free workshop aimed at showing entrepreneurs and start-ups what they need to do "to successfully attract investment".

The workshop, taking place at KPMG on 09 August, will include:

• preparing for investment

• types of investors

• potential challenges

• key process milestones

Participants will also hear from a panel of entrepreneurs who will share their experience of what you really need to do to attract investment successfully and what pitfalls to avoid.

The event is free to attend and registration is required.

NI Outperforms UK Regions In Attracting Foreign Investment
A report published by UKTI, Inward Investment Report 2013/14, has shown that Northern Ireland has outperformed the rest of the UK regions in attracting foreign investment. Alastair Hamilton, Chief Executive Invest Northern Ireland said: "Northern Ireland saw growth of 32% on the previous year in the number of FDI projects reported.

Cirillo Expands Chocolate Range
Cirillo, a new luxury chocolatier in Lurgan, has been assisted by Invest Northern Ireland to launch a range of gourmet chocolates which are also gluten-free. In addition to being gluten free, the chocolates are free from wheat and eggs. The company's dark chocolate is also dairy-free.
