Jet2 Announce New Jobs At Aldergrove Airport

Up to 50 new cabin crew jobs are to be created at Aldergrove Airport by airliner, Jet2.

The recruitment drive is looking for "passionate people" ahead of next year's summer season, Jet2 said.

The company said that it was planning a jobs fair later this month to give job-seekers the opportunity to find out more about the available jobs.

Welcoming the jobs news, Sinn Féin MLA Máirtín Ó Muilleoir, said: "Today's announcement that 50 jobs will be created at Aldergrove Airport by airline Jet2 is great boost for the local economy.

"I am particularly glad that Jet2 have decided to invest in the north as part of a 3000 job boost across Europe.

"At a time when the uncertainties of a Tory Brexit looms over business and threatens the economy here, job creation is welcome news.

"These jobs will provide much-needed employment for the local area and particularly for our young people and I look forward to seeing them come to fruition."
