Stena Line offers 'Landbridge' deal for NI travellers

Ferry company Stena Line have announced details of its 2004 Landbridge fares to Europe, which could mean savings of over £500 for customers taking their car to Europe this year.

Paul Grant, Stena Line Head of Marketing, said: “A Landbridge holiday to the continent is an ideal break for families in Northern Ireland, with the holiday beginning as soon as you board the Stena HSS in Belfast – or on whichever route you choose to travel. It is the ideal way to take your car to Europe. Just compare our Landbridge prices with direct sailings to Europe and see how much you could save.”

Stena Line said that France is Northern Ireland’s favourite Landbridge destination, with 80% of passengers travelling there last year. Fares start from just £130 single for a car and two people and £150 single for a car and four people. Those people wishing to bring caravans can also bring them for free on selected sailing if they book their trip before March 31. Customers can also book local accommodation in France, through the Stena Line website at www.bookstenaline.com/landbridge.

There are over a thousand choices to choose from, including cottages, apartments and mobile homes, so there is something to suit every preference.

Stena Line is also offering excellent value fares to Spain, Holland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Germany. The company also provides an option to travel to six different destinations in France, from the South of England, including Calais, Cherbourg and Roscoff. Those who wish to enjoy a leisurely cruise to Spain can take one of the Brittany Ferries or P&O Ferries luxury vessels from Plymouth to Santander or Portsmouth to Bilbao in the north of the country.

Stena Line has teamed up with DFDS Seaways to offer sailings from Belfast via Stranraer and onwards from Newcastle to Amsterdam, from as £332 return, for travel to Holland with a car and two passengers. The fare also includes cabin accommodation plus free buffet breakfasts, if the trip is booked before March 31.

Crossings are also available via Stranraer and Newcastle to Sweden (Gothenburg), Norway (Kristiansand) and via Harwich to Denmark (Esbjerg) and Germany (Cuxhaven).
