Man Shot In Both Legs In L'Derry

A man has been taken to hospital after he was shot in both legs in L'Derry.

Police said they responded to a report that shots had been fired in the Creggan area at around 9.30pm on Wednesday, 12 September.

A spokesperson said: "A man in his 20s, who sustained a number of gunshots to his legs, has been taken to hospital by NIAS for treatment."

Sinn Féin Cllr, Kevin Campbell, has hit out at those responsible.

"A young man has been shot in the legs in Oakland Park estate in Creggan," he said.

"I utterly condemn this attack. These actions should stop immediately and those responsible should pack up and get off the backs of the community.

"Anyone with information on this shooting should bring it forward to the Police immediately."

Man shot in north Belfast
A man has been shot in an attack in North Belfast which occurred at around 10.30pm last night. The man received two gunshot wounds to his legs in the incident on Farrington Gardens, and is believed to be in a stable condition in hospital. Police have not yet established a motive for the attack and are appealing for witnesses to call 0845 6008000.

A man is recovering in hospital after being shot in a paramilitary-style attack in Armagh last night. The 37-year-old victim was taken from a bar in Jonesborough, south Armagh, by two men at around midnight. When outside, the man was set upon by a gang of around five men who beat him with iron bars.

Police are investigating gun attacks in which three men have been injured in two separate paramilitary style shootings. Two men were hospitalised after a shooting incident in Dromore. The shooting took place at around midnight on Wednesday in the Maypole Hill area of Dromore County Down.

Paramilitary-style attack leaves man in hospital
A 33-year-old man is in hospital following an apparent paramilitary-style attack in the outskirts of Belfast last night. The man was picked up by an ambulance at around 9.15pm on the Glenburn Road in Dunmurry after being shot in both legs. It is unclear at present who was behind the attack but police have appealed for any witnesses to contact them.

A man has been shot in both legs in L'Derry. The incident happened in the Brandywell Road area just before 11pm on Monday. The 23-year-old victim was shot in the living room of the property and is currently being treated at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast.

Man Shot In Legs In Co Armagh
A man has been shot in both legs in Co Armagh. A group of men forced their way into a house in the Meadowbank area of Craigavon and dragged the victim outside and shot him in both legs. The incident happened on Thursday night. The 26-year-old man has is being treated in hospital. Police are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.

Man Shot In Both Legs In North Belfast
A man has been shot in both legs in north Belfast. The shooting occurred in the Carlisle Parade area at approximately 8pm on Monday. The victim, in his 20s, is being treated in hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life threatening. A man in his 40s has been arrested in connection with the attack and has been detained by the police.

Investigation Underway After Man Shot In Both Legs
The PSNI have launched an investigation after a man was shot in both legs at Bog Meadows in the St James area of west Belfast. Police say the shooting happened at about 20:00 on Monday. The victim is being treated at Royal Victoria Hospital, where his condition is described as stable. His injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

There has been another 'paramilitary-style' shooting near Belfast. A man has been taken to hospital after being shot in both legs on the outskirts of Lisburn and west Belfast. Four men entered the man's home in the Laburnum Row area of Twinbrook shortly before 10.

A 20-year-old man has suffered injuries to both legs following a paramilitary-style attack in Co Down last night. The shooting incident took place in Stirling Avenue, Newtownards at around 11pm. It is understood that a number of items from the scene of the attack were subsequently removed for forensic examnation.

A man who suffered gunshot wounds to his legs, ankles and hands is recovering in hospital today. The 26-year-old man was the victim of what police have described as a paramilitary-style attack in Downpatrick on Thursday. He was found close to the Model Farm estate in the Ballymote area of the town at about 8pm.

A 48-year-old man arrested as part of a major investigation into drugs supply and money laundering in L'Derry has been released pending a report to the PPS. A 34-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman arrested in Newtownabbey as part of the same investigation both remain in custody.

Man Dies In Tyrone Farm Accident
The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) has launched an investigation after a man died in a farm accident in Co Tyrone. Emergency services were called to the farm in the Coolaghy Road area of Ardstraw on Sunday, 02 September. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a post-mortem is to be carried out.
