Appeal For Information On Newtownards Assault

Police in Newtownards have issued an appeal for information following a serious assault in the town on Sunday 02 January.

According to police, a man aged in his 20s, was attacked by up to four men armed with "poles" in an alleyway close to Glenbrook Road at about 19:45. The victim suffered injuries to his head, legs, arms and hands.

Anyone with any information about the attack, in particular anyone who may have witnessed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the assault, is asked to contact police.
