Mark Campbell Funeral Held In Ballyclare

The funeral has taken place of Matthew Campbell, who died after he was hit by a falling tree during Storm Ali.

Mr Campbell (24) was struck by a tree on Wednesday, 19 September, as he worked in Slieve Gullion Forest Park for Lagan Construction, on behalf of NI Water.

A funeral service for Mr Campbell was held on Monday, 24 September and he was buried in Ballyclare Cemetery.

Mr Campbell was due to marry his fiancée Robyn Newbury in August next year, and according to reports, Ms Newbury placed her wedding ring on Mr Campbell's finger during the funeral service.

Eastern Airways Saves Belfast-Southampton Route
Flights from Belfast City Airport to Southampton have been saved by Eastern Airways. The airline stepped in to fulfil the busy route after announcing on Monday that it was creating a six-times weekly Belfast to Teeside International Airport flight. The daily Southampton flights are now available for booking and will begin on Monday 23 March.

Flybe Workers To Rally At Stormont
Flybe workers will today hold a rally at Stormont to demand government intervention to secure their jobs. A trade union has called on the Northern Ireland Executive to defend the long-term connectivity of Belfast, including the now under-threat roles at Belfast City Airport.

Ford Highlights Reforms To Fine Enforcement System
Justice Minister David Ford has today signalled his intention to fundamentally reform how the justice system deals with fine defaulters. Among the proposals he is considering are the development of a civilian fines enforcement service, greater use of community based penalties as alternatives to custody and deductions from income.
