Man Shot In The Leg In West Belfast

A man in his 30's has been shot in the leg in a paramilitary-style attack in west Belfast on Sunday night, 07 October.

The attack happened in the Norglen Road area of the city near Monagh Crescent.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment for injuries that are said to be "potentially life-changing".

A PSNI spokesperson said: "This incident is another example of how criminal gangs seek to control communities through fear and violence.

"We are treating this brutal shooting as a paramilitary-style attack."

Anyone with further information has been asked to contact police using the non-emergency number 101.

Two Men Convicted In Paramilitary Crime Task Force Investigation
The PSNI have welcomed the sentencing of two men at Laganside Crown Court for a number of offences, following a major investigation into the activities of the east Belfast UVF. James McGrogan, aged 37, and 32-year-old Christopher Cullen were both convicted on Thursday 18th April, for a number of drug-related offences.
