Man Suffers Head Injuries In East Belfast Assault
A man in his 50's has been assaulted on the street by another man in east Belfast.
The incident happened around 1.45pm on Monday 22 October in the Mountpottinger Road area.
Police said he suffered a number of head and facial injuries in the attack, which continued until members of the public intervened.
The victim was taken to hospital, however his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
Police have asked anyone who witnessed the assault to contact them on non-emergency line 101.

Serious assault victim dies from injuries
A 24-year-old man left critically ill after an assault in west Belfast over the weekend has died in hospital. Police were already treating the brutal attack on the young man as attempted murder. The man was attacked at around 2.30am on Sunday as he and a female companion walked along North Boundary Street towards the Shankill area of Belfast.

County Antrim man critically ill after assault
A 32-year old man is critically ill with severe head injuries after being assaulted in County Antrim. He was found at Orkney Drive in the Ballykeel area of Ballymena in the early hours of Friday morning. Police are treating the attack as attempted murder.
