Teenager Arrested After Murder In County Down

Police are treating the death of a man following an assault in County Down over the weekend as murder.

The 32-year-old was attacked in Portaferry, shortly after midnight on Sunday.

It is believed the victim was from Killyleagh.

A 19-year-old has been arrested and taken to Musgrave police station in Belfast for questioning on suspicion of murder.

Man Arrested In Bangor Shooting Investigation
A man has been arrested by detectives investigating the attempted murder of two men in Bangor. The male victims, aged 24 and 33, were shot as they sat in a car in the Eastway area of the Whitehill estate at about 00:45 on 10 February. Man questioned following arms find in Coalisland
A 42-year-old man has been taken in for questioning following a series of searches in Coalisland in County Tyrone which uncovered firearms and a sum of money. The cache is thought to be connected to dissident republican activity.
