Gun Pulled On Driver In Roadside Attack
A motorcyclist is believed to have pulled a gun on the driver of a Range Rover while waiting at a junction in Crumlin, County Antrim.
The incident happened between 5.30pm and 6pm on Friday 16 November at the Ballydonaghy Road/Poplar Road junction.
Two men travelling on a red Triumph pulled up beside the car before the passenger got off and struck the vehicle's windscreen with a metal chain.
PSNI Detective Sergeant Lyttle said: "The passenger of the motorcycle verbally abused the driver of the vehicle and attempted to strike the windscreen again.
"At this time, the driver of the motorcycle is believed to have pointed what is believed to be a suspected firearm at the driver."
Following the incident, the motorcycle with the two men is alleged to have made off towards the Crumlin area.
A 50-year-old man was arrested on Saturday 17 November on suspicion of possession of a firearm or imitation firearm with intent to cause fear or violence, possession of an offensive weapon, and criminal damage.
He was later released on police bail pending further enquiries.
A number of items were also seized during the search of a house in the Newtownabbey area.
The police are appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact them using the non-emergency line 101.
