A woman has been arrested following the discovery of a man's body at a home in Ballymena.
Detectives from the PSNI's Major Investigation Team launched a murder investigation following the death of the 40-year-old at a house in the Devenagh Court area of the town on Thursday 22 November.
Detective Chief Inspector Peter McKenna, who is leading the investigation, said the fatality was reported at around 3pm yesterday afternoon.
"A post mortem examination has yet to take place but, at this time, I am treating this as murder," he added.
"A 53-year-old woman was subsequently arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.
"My thoughts go out to the victim's family at this tragic time."
Councillor Lindsay Millar, Mayor of Mid & East Antrim Borough council, also expressed her sympathies to the man's friends and family, and added that the tragic death was "upsetting".
Mrs Millar also urged anyone with information to contact the PSNI, who are appealing for information. Detectives can be reached on non-emergency line 101.
