Pensioner Dies In Portadown Crash

A 93-year-old man has died following a road traffic collision on the Derrycoose Road in the Annaghmore area of Portadown.

The crash, involving a red Nissan Micra, happened at about 2.20pm on Wednesday, 12 December.

Police have named the victim as John Joseph Milsop from the Portadown area, who was the driver of the vehicle.

The road was closed for most of the evening however it has since reopened.

Woman Dies In Garage Fire At Portadown Home
A woman has died after a fire in the garage of a house in Portadown, County Armagh. The fire at Oakleigh Park, off the Brownstown Road, was reported to police shortly after 07:20 GMT on Monday. Police and firefighters are still at the scene and are investigating the cause of the fire. The woman's name has not yet been released.

The Roads Service £120,000 improvement scheme being delivered in conjunction with the Lurgan Environmental scheme at Edward Street in the town is set to move into its second phase. Woman Killed In Co Armagh Road Collision
A woman in her 30s has been killed in a road crash in Portadown, Co Armagh. The woman was hit by a car as she was walking on the side of the Moy Road at around 9.45pm on Tuesday. The road was closed for a short time but it has been reopened. Police are appealing for any witnesses to contact them.

Portadown car crash victim named
The woman killed in a road accident near Portadown in Co Armagh yesterday has been named as Ellen McDowell, 32, from Castlewellan Road, Banbridge. The woman was killed when the car she was in was in collision with a lorry at around 12 pm on Monday. Three other people were hurt in the collision.

Woman killed in car crash near Portadown
A woman has been killed in a road accident near Portadown in Co Armagh. A police spokesperson said that the woman was killed in the collision which occurred at around 12 pm on Monday. A car and a lorry were involved in the crash on the Moyallen Road between Gilford and Portadown which was closed as a result of the collision.

Two In Hospital After Serious Newry Crash

Man Arrested After 'Suspicious Approach' To Young Girls In Co Down
A man in his 40's has been arrested after reports of a suspicious approach to two young girls in County Down. The incident took place in the Fountain Street area of Downpatrick on the afternoon of Thursday 03 January. The man remains in police custody at this time.
